Member of Parliament Edwin Mushoriwa, representing Dzivarasekwa Constituency, has indicated that Zig’s future depends on consistent government policies.
He warned the government to reconsider its policies as they could jeopardize Zig’s survival.
According to a post by Open Parly Zw, he elaborated that without stability and reduced interference, Zig could face the same fate as previous initiatives and fail.
He said:
“What we are basically saying is that zig can only be as good as the government policies as long there is actually policy inconsistency zig will not survive.
We believe that the question is not about who is the governor.
Thegovernores we have Mangudya and the even the John 2 Mushayavanhu where people had actually run the institutions.
Mangudya was the Chief Executive of the CBZ,Mushayavanhu has done well at FBC.
So the question is not about the governor, the question is about the government itself.
The government has to stop the printing of money, the government also need to stop interferring in montenary authorities so that Zig can maintain its value …….”
