GOVERNMENT will channel its insurance benefits from the African Risk Capacity (ARC) to support more than 349 vulnerable households in 18 districts across the country that have been severely impacted by the El Nino-induced drought.
The Government has activated its insurance policy with the African Risk Capacity (ARC), a specialised agency of the African Union, to provide relief to households affected by the devastating drought.
Under this initiative, the Government will provide support to over 349 vulnerable households in 18 districts across the country that have been severely impacted by the El Nino-induced drought.
The affected households will receive assistance in the form of cash transfers, food, and other essential items to help them recover from the drought.

The Government’s decision to channel its insurance benefits to support these vulnerable households is part of its efforts to mitigate the impact of the drought and ensure that those most affected receive the necessary assistance.
