A 51 year old Chinese businessman has been incarcerated for r@ping and unprofessionally firing a 17 year old Zimbabwean teenager.
According to the National Prosecuting Authority(NPA), the young girl was employed as a general worker at a mine in Gweru and worked closely with the Chinese man who allegedly a$$aulted her on the floor and immediately fir3d her after committing the 0ffense.
The court heard that on July 2, 2023, the teenage girl gave birth to a baby girl, and the case was subsequently reported to the police, leading to the business mogul’s arrest.
A police report was made on June 13, 2024 and the accused briefly appeared before a Gweru magistrate and has been remanded in custody up to 28 June,2024.
