A 29 year old man from Gweru was arraigned before the Gweru Magistrates Court facing charges of physical abus3.
On the 10th of November 2024 at around 0600 hours, the accused person told his wife (24) who is the complainant to pack her bags so that they go to the accused person’s rural home in Zvimba.
The complainant refused to pack her bags and told the accused person that she wanted to collect her debts from her customers before she goes.
This did not go well with the accused person who ass_ulted the complainant with clenched fists on the stomach, on her
mouth and on the back.
The complainant reported the matter to the police.
The accused person was sentenced to 4 months imprisonment, wholly suspended for 5 years.
