City Parking has unveiled a new parking exemption policy that honors the significant contributions of Senior Citizens and War Veterans.
This new initiative aims to make life a bit easier for those who have served our community and country with distinction.
In a statement shared on their socials, they announced that the parking exemption is available to senior citizens aged 70 and older, as well as war veterans who hold a valid war veterans ID:
To qualify, applicants are encouraged to produce proof of Harare residency, a vehicle registration book with the beneficiary’s name, a valid driver’s license, and, for war veterans, their war veterans ID.

Please note that the exemption is not applicable to commercial vehicles or vehicles used for purposes other than personal use.
Each qualified individual is eligible for the exemption on one motor vehicle, and it remains valid for one calendar year, necessitating annual renewal.
Senior citizens and war veterans who meet the criteria can apply for the exemption by visiting the City Parking offices located on the 3rd Floor of Trafalgar Court, Julius Nyerere Way. Be sure to bring all necessary documents for verification.
