In a troubling incident that took place on November 17, 2024, police in Harare arrested a 21-year-old man named Tawanda Chimuti in connection with a r0bbery at a shop located in Chibwe Business Centre, Stoneridge Park.
At approximately the time of the r0bbery, Tawanda and his accomplice, who has only been identified by the name Munyuki, vi0lently att@cked the shop attendant in a brazen effort to steal cash.
The duo reportedly managed to seize USD 600.00 before chaos ensued.
However, Tawanda’s criminal actions were thwarted thanks to the quick thinking of a customer who happened to be in the shop during the incident.
This vigilant individual intervened and helped apprehend Tawanda, preventing him from fleeing the scene with the stolen money.
Meanwhile, his accomplice Munyuki took advantage of the confusion and successfully escaped capture.
The police swiftly responded to the situation and took Tawanda into custody, launching an investigation to locate Munyuki.
