As the world is mourning the death of legendary Nollywood actor John Okafor popularly known as Mr Ibu, shocking details about how he d!ed all alone and how his money and donated funds were squandered by his wife and daughter have emerged.
The heartbreaking details have shed light on the immense pain, suffering, and heartache that Mr Ibu endured during his lifetime, leaving a profound impact on the hearts of many.
Mr Ibu who has been battling an undisclosed illness d!ed on Saturday night due to cardiac arrest. He passed away at Evercare Hospital in Lekki where he was hospitalized.
Mr Ibu’s tragic d3ath was confirmed the National President, Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Emeka Rollas. He wrote;
“…Mr Ibu suffered cardiac arrest according to his manager of 24 years, Mr Don Single Nwuzor.
“I announce with a deep sense of grief that Mr Ibu didn’t make it. May his soul rest in peace.”
However, following his d3ath, distressing details have emerged about the immense challenges Mr Ibu faced whilst grappling with his health struggles. A social media user identified as Albert Nat Hydes has come forward to share the heartbreaking account of how Mr Ibu’s first wife left him with nothing, taking everything he had.
Additionally, his second wife and stepdaughter were revealed to have squandered his money and donation funds while he was hospitalized, further exacerbating his already difficult situation.
These revelations shed light on the extent of Mr Ibu’s struggles and the unfortunate misfortunes he encountered when he was still alive.
After, his first wife divorced him and took all his savings and left him with nothing, Mr Ibu had to start from scratch again.
He went on and got married his second wife Stella Maris, unfortunately he was diagnosed with diabetes which greatly affected his career.
Whilst he was in and out of hospital, his second wife Stella Maris recklessly squandered all his money. Mr Ibu had to resort to begging for money from fans to pay his medical bills. His plight triggered help from Nigerians, some of whom donated funds for his upkeep, surgeries and medical treatment.
However, his stepdaughter Jasmine took control of the bank account meant for Mr Ibu’s donations. Shockingly, she reportedly used up all the money meant for Mr Ibu’s surgeries and medical care for her own personal use.
Furthermore, reports have surfaced stating that Mr Ibu’s wife made demands on the donated funds while her husband was hospitalized and in critical condition. Allegedly, she requested money to purchase an iPhone 15 and a car, displaying a lack of consideration for Mr Ibu’s situation. Additionally, she demanded funds for a BBL to enhance her body, justifying it by stating that she was still young.

Meanwhile, Mr Ibu’s adopted daughter, Jasmine has reportedly already changed Mr Ibu’s TikTok account to her own name a few hours after his d3ath. She has deleted all Mr Ibu’s videos. His TikTok account had over 1 million followers.
