Tendai Mashamhanda, a prominent businessman, is being evicted from his US$1.5 million mansion in the posh Highlands neighborhood after the Supreme Court found that he fraudulently purchased the property while it was under judicial attachment.
According to sources, the High Court sheriff is carrying out the eviction, which will be accompanied by police officers.
The eviction action was begun by the law firm Gill, Godlonton, & Gerrans. On June 19, they wrote to the High Court Sheriff Services, requesting aid with the eviction. The sheriff responded on June 21 and scheduled the eviction for June 25.
Mashamhanda purchased a property from lawyer Pihwai Chiutsi for $230,000, claiming to have significantly increased its value through renovations.
However, the High Court deemed the sale fraudulent in November 2023 and ordered Mashamhanda to vacate the premises.

Despite appealing to the Supreme Court, Justice Chinembiri Bhunu upheld the decision, declaring Mashamhanda’s occupation of the property unlawful.
Mashamhanda has accused Justice Bhunu and other judges of corruption, demanding their resignation and alleging breaches of judicial ethics.
The case has sparked widespread public interest due to the property’s high value and the ongoing legal and ethical controversies surrounding the judiciary.
