Brian Moyo has been become the new Chief Executive Officer of Highlanders Football Club, the team announced Monday.
According to reports, following the de@th of Sihlangu Dlodlo, the previous CEO, earlier this month, this appointment was made. Moyo will take on his responsibilities right now, according to club chairman Kenneth Mhlophe. Mhlophe highlighted Moyo’s vast experience in football administration in a statement, expressing confidence in his abilities.
“Moyo is a highly experienced football administrator with a deep understanding of the sport. He has a long history with Highlanders, having served in various administrative capacities in the past.
Additionally, he has worked with ZIFA in multiple roles, further enriching his expertise. His skills and experience will undoubtedly contribute to the club’s success,” Mhlophe said.
The club’s top administrative post is undergoing a period of major turnover with this appointment. In just eight months, Highlanders has had three CEOs, including Brian Moyo.
This comes after Ronald Moyo left in March after his contract was not extended, which made room for Dlodlo to be hired in April. Dlodlo tragically di3d at his home on October 28, leaving the club without a captain.
The loss forced Highlanders to look for a competent replacement immediately, and Moyo was chosen to lead the team through this difficult period.
