ONE of the women, who proudly call themselve “Bosso Babes” for being diehard Highlanders Football Club fans, who badly injured one another in a br0ken beer bottle fight in a toilet at the Highlanders clubhouse has come out in the open, revealing the source of the nasty fight.
Last month, source reported how Vivian Ngwenya and Tholakele Dube of Tshabalala and Emganwini suburbs respectively, st@bbed each other allegedly over a married boyfriend. They are both aged 33. However, Ngwenya reached out to source to say her side of the story.
“Yes, we fought in the toilet but it was not over a man. The f!ght was never over a boyfriend. Tholakele was seated with her friends at the clubhouse after the Bulawayo Chiefs game and she passed by our table and removed my wig. I followed her to the toilet to ask her why she had removed my wig, we exchanged some words and fought,” she said.
The woman said her relationship with her long-time partner was now on rocky ground after reports that she fought over another man.
“I’m not proud of f!ghting with Tholakele but my relationship with my boyfriend has not been good ever since the incident and I want it to be put on record that I didn’t f!ght over another man. I have healed from the injuries,” she added.
She said she had b_ried the hatchet with Tholakele.
“We are not really friends. She has her circle of friends and I have my own. We meet occasionally on Sundays after watching Highlanders and still greet one another. There is no bad bl00d between us,” she said.
After the f!ght, the two women were ferried to Mpilo Hospital for medical attention. They were both charged for disorderly conduct in a public place by the police.
