Police in Rusape are currently conducting an investigation into a tragic hit and run road traffic accident that resulted in the d3ath of an unidentified man.
The incident occurred at the 182-kilometre peg along the busy Harare-Mutare Road, a critical route often used by both commercial and private vehicles.
Witnesses to the accident have yet to come forward, making it difficult for authorities to establish the identity of the victim or the motorist responsible for the accident.
Following the collision, the man’s body was discovered at the scene, and authorities promptly transported it to Rusape General Hospital for a post-mortem examination to determine the cause of de@th and gather further evidence.
The police have urged anyone who might have witnessed the incident or has information related to it to come forward and report to the nearest police station.
