Popular Zimbabwean hip-hop artist Holy Ten has made a heartfelt plea to his fellow musician, Takura, not to retire from the music scene.
Last week, Takura shocked his fans by announcing his decision to step away from the industry
Taking to his Instagram Stories, Holy Ten wrote a lengthy message to Takura pleading with Takura not to quit music just yet.
Holy Ten expressed his admiration for Takura’s impact on the hip-hop scene in Zimbabwe.
He praised Takura for avoiding dramatic publicity stunts and unnecessary beef, highlighting his ability to generate excitement for his work through music alone.
“They’ve normalized publicity stunts before they roll out their projects (probably my fault) so I’m just hoping its one of those.
But you’ve never had to be dramatic to drop anything. Never had to beef with anyone. I’ve seen snippets take flight before you even release the official song. You’re the man they’ve never said apera uyo
Growing up we paid attention to your Hip Hop, you’re the man that really changed everything
Please don’t hang those boots! We still need your music
@takuralife”
