Zimbabwe journalist and political activist, Hopewell Chin’ono has urged governments to also acknowledge the p@ssing of low profile government officials in terrible incidents such as the recent Malawi aircraft crash which resulted in the d3ath of Malawi’s vice president and nine other passengers.
In his statement, Chin’ono accentuated that among the 10 passengers of the crashed Dornier 228 Malawi aircraft, was a ‘Major Wales Aidin‘ who was scheduled to w3d his sw33theart,Taona Swala on October 5 this year.
“We often read about big political names when something serious happens, like the air crash in Malawi that killed the Vice President, the former First Lady, and seven others”, Chin’ono said.
“May Taona be comforted during this painful time, and may Major Aidin’s soul rest in peace”, he added referring to the d3ceased major’s wif3 to be.
According to sources, the Malawi government has declared 21 days of national mourning.
