At around 5 am this morning. A commuter omnibus from Chiredzi destined to Beitbridge – Musinna with cross borders passengers was involved in a head-on accident at the 180km peg with a long haulage truck. It was a head-on accident before Mwenezi turn off.
Six passengers were d3ad at the scene. Whilst four were seriously injured and taken to the nearest clinic and district hospital in the district. It was a Nissan Caravan. The driver who was a male was d3ad at the scene. Five female passengers were dead on the scene.
