A Harare woman made shocking accusations in a dramatic court session, claiming her husband habitually used her clothes as toilet tissues.
The startling revelations emerged at the Harare Civil Court, where Rudo Takalumusi sought a protection order against her husband, Ernest Musawa.
Rudo recounted to the court a series of bizarre and distressing incidents that left the courtroom in stunned silence.
“Every time he uses the toilet, he takes my clothes to wipe himself,” she alleged, her voice tinged with a mix of anger and desperation.
“He not only soils my clothes with his mess but also urinates on them. When I confront him, he threatens to kill me, claiming he would rather end up in jail than stop his disgusting behavior.”
The accusations painted a disturbing picture of domestic life that had spiraled into chaos and fear.
Rudo’s testimony was filled with vivid details of her husband’s alleged mistreatment, portraying a household where basic respect and decency had been abandoned.
Ernest vehemently denied the allegations, countering with his own version of events.

“I have never used my wife’s clothes as tissues,” he asserted, visibly frustrated. “She’s the one who ur1nates in a bucket at night and throws her clothes in there. I once saw her clothes in that bucket of ur1ne myself.”
The case took an even more bewildering turn as both parties continued to hurl accusations at each other, revealing a deeply fractured relationship fraught with mistrust and resentment.
Magistrate Meenal Narotam, presiding over the case, listened intently to both sides before delivering a ruling. She granted Rudo’s request for a protection order, instructing Ernest to cease any behavior that could be construed as harassment or intimidation. Furthermore, she urged the couple to seek mediation and counseling to address their underlying issues.
“The court recognizes the gravity of these allegations,” Magistrate Narotam stated, her tone firm yet compassionate. “It is essential that both parties find a way to resolve their differences and work towards a peaceful coexistence. The behavior described here, if true, is unacceptable and must stop immediately.”
As the court session concluded, Rudo left with a sense of relief, her protection order secured. Ernest, on the other hand, appeared contemplative, perhaps realizing the severity of the situation.
