An elephant att@cked and lifted a car full of tourists with its tusks in Pilanesberg National Park in South Africa’s North Western Province.
In the videos, probably recorded by passengers on Monday, you can hear the prayers of the passengers and the terrified driver begging the elephant for mercy.
One of the videos shows a driver driving towards an elephant, which, after momentarily standing still, charged at the vehicle.
Aware of the danger the passengers were in, the driver tried to reverse the vehicle while striking the side of the vehicle with his hand, shouting, “Hey! Hamba! (go away).” However, the elephant stuck its tusks into the front of the vehicle and lifted it.
Terrified passengers can be seen huddled on the floor of the car, praying for protection. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry,” the driver shouted, begging the animal for mercy.
