An Odzi man is facing attempted murd3r charges after he allegedly @ttacked his ex-wife, Beanca Bandura (24), with an Okapi knife, leaving her with severe !njuries including protruding intestines.
The att@ck is believed to have been triggered by suspicions of inf!delity.
Tinashe Madzingira (29), who had previously divorced Bandura over similar allegations, reportedly confronted her at Mazone Farm on August 30.
According to the police, Madzingira went to the farm around 8 p.m., hoping to find Bandura. When he couldn’t locate her, he learned from others that she might have been with her boyfriend. Instead of leaving, Madzingira chose to wait.
The following morning, Bandura returned home with her sister, Annia Mauta (22).

A heated argument ensued between Madzingira and Bandura, which quickly turned vi0lent. As Bandura tried to flee, she lost her footing and fell, giving Madzingira the chance to att@ck her with the knife.
He stabbed her in the stomach, causing severe !njuries. Bandura was rushed to Victoria Chitepo Provincial Hospital, where her condition is reported to be critical.
Acting Manicaland provincial police spokesperson, Assistant Inspector Wiseman Chinyoka, said the police are treating the case as attempted murd3r.
He urged the public to resolve disputes peacefully. Madzingira was arrested after police responded to the report made at Mutare Rural Police Station.
