Portugal international forward João Félix is set to rejoin the struggling Premier League giant, Chelsea, as the club has scheduled the 24-year-old striker for a medical examination in London.
The transfer fee for the Portugal international remains undisclosed, but the deal will see him return to Stamford Bridge on a six-year contract with an option for an additional season.
The development was confirmed by sports transfer expert Fabrizio Romano on his X account.
“João Félix day at Chelsea, plan confirmed. He’s travelling to London today for medical tests and contract signing, deal valid until June 2030
It will include an option for further year.
João is excited to return to Chelsea, as everything has been agreed upon with his agent, Mendes,” the update reads.
Félix’s move, which is subject to a medical, will bring him back after a 2023 loan spell at Chelsea, where he scored four goals in 20 appearances during his previous time in West London.
Félix’s move to Chelsea will pave the way for Gallagher to sign with Atlético Madrid at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium, where he was pictured nine days ago in anticipation of the move before a delay forced him to fly back to London last Tuesday.
