The Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) announced the continuation of normal operations at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport following a temporary closure of the airport’s single runway
“The disabled aircraft has been recovered from the runway and normal airport operations have resumed. Thank you for your patience and cooperation,” the authority said.
On Tuesday afternoon, a Boeing 737 cargo plane operated by Kenya Airways, en route from Sharjah to Nairobi, became disabled on the runway at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) in Kenya.
The incident led to the temporary closure of the airport’s single runway. No injur!es were reported, and the aircraft was safely recovered from the runway.
