President Mnangagwa yesterday announced the appointment of High Court Judge, Justice Garainesu Mawadze, as the Deputy Judge President.
The move comes on the heels of a month-long public interview process that concluded last month.
In addition to Justice Mawadze’s appointment, Mnangagwa also appointed 10 new High Court judges and one Administrative Court judge.
These appointments are seen as a significant boost to the country’s judicial system, which has been working to clear a backlog of cases.
The appointments are part of a broader effort to strengthen Zimbabwe’s judiciary and improve access to justice for all citizens.
The new judges bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the bench, and their appointments are expected to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the country’s courts.
