Former Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has spoken after his three children were involved in a minor three-car accident in Germany on monday afternoon. Currently the striker is in Germany where he play for Bayern Munich FC.
According to source who spoke to the BBC, everyone involved in the crash was fortunate to have only sustained minor injuries.
The footballer confirmed through his spokesperson that his children are doing well:
“They are fine and only went to hospital for a routine check-up.”
Reports suggest that Kane had just arrived in London for his team’s Champions League quarter-final match against Arsenal when he heard of the accident.
The collision involved a Renault, carrying four people, which was turning at a junction and collided with an oncoming Mercedes transporting Kane’s children, aged between three and seven, in Schaftlarn. Subsequently, the Renault also collided with a Land Rover.
Bavarian Police stated that all nine individuals involved in the crash suffered minor injuries, with one woman being airlifted to the hospital.
Daniel Buck, the chief of the Hohenschäftlarn Volunteer Fire Department, described the scene as having significant vehicle damage:
“The good news was nobody had really strong injuries, more minor injuries, like they have pain in the neck from the head up, normally typical for a car accident. Thank God nobody was really injured. It was really lucky for all the people.”
Kane switched to Bayern Munich in 2023 after departing Tottenham, signing a four-year deal. He has four children: Ivy, aged seven; Vivienne, aged five; Louis, aged three; and 8-month-old baby Henry. Reports indicate that the youngest child was not in the vehicle during the accident.
