Freddy ‘Kapfupi’ Manjalima has sparked widespread concern among fans following images showcasing his significant weight loss that have recently gone viral online.
The 37-year-old singer, known for his hit “Uchakanga Waya,” was photographed alongside two other celebrities, one being Shugeta, which caught the attention of many social media users.
The comments section of the post quickly became filled with reactions to Kapfupi’s transformation.

Concerns over the talented street theatre actor’s health first emerged when he was seen looking noticeably thinner in recent photographs. Some fans mentioned they were worried about his mental well-being as well.

In an interview with Sunday Mail last week, Kapfupi addressed the speculation about his appearance, attributing his struggles to hauntings by evil spirits.
He claimed, “Witchcraft is real; it has wreaked havoc in my life. I have friends and family who seem intent on sabotaging my success—they’re using dark magic against me.”
The musician expressed a desperate need for deliverance from these spirits so he can revive his ailing career. He has previously been involved in mysterious car accidents, further amplifying concerns about his well-being.
Last year, he and his wife, Mai Nga, were seen visiting a renowned traditional healer in Harare, seeking help.
“Even if I were to receive financial aid today, I fear it wouldn’t do much to help my career until I’m cleansed of these evil spirits that plague me,” he revealed.
Kapfupi also voiced his worries for his son, Clive, who is struggling in the music industry. “I’m convinced our family is under some curse, as my son has been in the industry for five years with no progress to show for it. I need to take action to prevent him from enduring the same difficulties I face,” he said.
He concluded by extending an invitation for anyone willing to help, emphasizing the urgent need for change to lift the spell affecting their family.
