Former Zimbabwe international Khama Billiat will join the Walter Magaya-owned Yadah FC in a surprise transfer twist.
Khama’s contract with South African PSL side Kaizer Chiefs ran out in June 2023 and the former Warriors star refused to renew it. This was because the club was offering him a lower salary.
Since that time, Khama has been with no club. It was revealed last month that he was training with SuperSport United. A move to the club was imminent but the deal fell through the cracks.
Last week, news reports emerged indicating that Khama would join Harare giants Dynamos. However, other teams jumped into the fray. Yadah FC and Manica Diamonds also vied for Khama’s signature.
Khama Billiat has now signed for Yadah FC, owned by Prophetic, Healing and Deliverance Ministries founder Walter Magaya. The specifics of the contract are still under wraps. However, sports reporter Makomborero Mutimukulu revealed that Khama will sign with Yadah FC and go to Dynamos FC on loan.
Khama touched down at the Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport last night and he was welcomed by Dynamos, Caps United and Ngezi Platinum Stars supporters. Yadah FC chairman Admire Mango also welcomed the footballer. Khama then left the airport with Mango.
