With an illustrious career spanning years, former Kaizer Chiefs talisman Knowledge Musona has made a name for himself in the Saudi Pro League.
After a stint in Europe, the Zimbabwean forward joined the Saudi Pro League and has been winning big of late, both on and off the pitch.
After a 10-year stint in Europe, Musona joined Al-Tai in 2021 and was influential during several campaigns. Against the backdrop of his newfound fame, Al-Riyadh Saudi Club came knocking, and the star didn’t think twice.
His command of the game has undoubtedly earned him the captain’s armband. However, against his fair share of fame, many have been trying to connect the dots about his salary.
According to the Belgian newspaper Het Nieuwsblad, in 2020, Musona was earning around R18.85 million per year without bonuses. However, several sources have it that he is now earning over R10 million after moving to Saudi Arabia.
His salary has been kept under wraps since his move to Saudi, but unconfirmed reports have it that he earns over R10 million. Little is known if his package was improved since he was given the club’s armband.
No doubt he is not new to big figures. He was among the highest-paid stars during his stints with Kaizer Chiefs. Over the years, he has been regarded as one of the top-earning Zimbabwean athletes.
