A Kwekwe woman named Alice has been hospitalized after a suicide attempt involving po!son.
This drastic action was triggered by the sh0cking revelation that her husband, Forbes Degwa, a senior manager at a local company, had secretly married another woman.
Forbes reportedly formalized his union with Angeline Zvikomborero Mujanja on December 14 of the previous year without informing Alice, his first wife.
The situation escalated when Angeline boldly confronted Alice, revealing that Forbes had paid lobola for her, which plunged Alice into despair.
The distressing event unfolded at Alice’s home, where she succumbed to overwhelming emotions and attempted to take her life on January 8.

She is currently receiving medical treatment at Kwekwe Hospital for her actions.
When approached for comments by H-Metro, Forbes initially avoided answering direct questions, later disconnecting the call after a cryptic remark: “Who gave you this information? Can I call you back in 15 minutes?”
Meanwhile, Angeline denied any involvement in the turmoil surrounding Alice, asserting, “I don’t know anyone or anything about what you are talking about. I wasn’t married on the date you are referring to. You can verify your claims with your source.”
However, a source close to the situation confirmed that Angeline was indeed married to Forbes on December 14 and her disclosure to Alice was a pivotal moment that drove Alice to her breaking point.
