The Croatian international midfielder, Luka Modrić has signed a one-year contract extension with the La liga Champions, Real Madrid.
The contract is valid until June 2025.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Newsreportzim.com has reliably informed that Luka Modrić signed one year contract with Real Madrid.
“Official, confirmed. Luka Modrić signs new deal at Real Madrid until June 2025.
He will be the new Real Madrid captain,” the post reads.
The midfielder was out of contract at the end of the season but his continuing presence will ensure manager Carlo Ancelotti has experience to count on as he prepares for his 13th season at the Bernabeu.
Modric, 38, has joined Real Madrid from Tottenham in 2012 and won 26 trophies, including six Champions Leagues and four domestic titles.
The Croatian midfielder, got a chance to play alongside Kylian Mbappe who officially unveiled on 16 July after he signed a five year contract after leaving Paris St-Germain (PSG) at the end of last season.
