In a shocking turn of events, two police officers accused of m_rdering IBA Director General, Guntila Muleya, were spotted splurging money on women at a nightclub in Lusaka’s East Park mall, Mozambique just hours after the alleged crime.
Home Affairs Minister, Jack Mwiimbu, revealed this in a ministerial statement to parliament, exposing the officers’ reckless behavior.
The minister’s response came after Siavonga MP, Darius Mulunda, asked if the Inspector General of Police had been vindicated by opposition parliamentarians who criticised his statement about “junkies” within the police force.
Mwiimbu acknowledged that while the police service has dedicated professionals, rogue officers like the two accused of Muleya’s murder tarnish the institution’s image and erode public trust.
“Here are individuals madam speaker, after sl@ughtering this Guntila Muleya in cold blood the same night, the following day, they are dancing in a disco at Esast Park mall with girls, with a lot of money,” Mwiimbu said.
The minister added that the cold action of the officers has left the public questioning if at all Muleya was their first m_rder victim.

“Members of the public are now asking if this is the first time that these individuals have k!lled. The answer is for all of you to speculate,” he said.
Mwiimbu added that Government and the police, with the support of the National Assembly will do anything possible to ensure that such officers are rooted out of the service.
“And as indicated, we will do everything possible with your (MP’s) support to root out the wrong police officers and they are many and a number of these police officers are working in your constituencies and I come to think that you are aware of some of the reports that are coming from the public and I would like you to come out together with the public to identify these police men who are not police men.”
“Because a policeman is supposed to provide security to the residents, but these are not police men they are criminals madam speaker.
We cant allow police men who are supposed to be guarding and providing security to our residents to do what they have done,” he added.
