Harare Mayor, Jacob Mafume, has expressed his disappointment and frustration with the City director’s for failing to provide statistics on the number of houses in Harare.
In a statement, Mayor Mafume blasted the director for the lack of transparency and accountability in the department.
“I’m sh0cked that we don’t have statistics on the number of houses in Harare,” Mayor Mafume said. “How do we plan and budget without data? ”
The mayor further emphasised the importance of data-driven decision-making, stating, “We need facts and figures to make informed decisions. Without statistics, we’re operating in the dark.”
Mayor Mafume’s remarks highlight the ongoing challenges facing the City of Harare, including a lack of transparency and accountability.
