The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) is currently investigating a case of murd3r, which resulted in the d3ath of a 32-year-old woman, Shiellah Utete.
On July 5, 2024, at around 1500 hours, Shiellah Utete (32) tragically lost her life after being struck multiple times with an axe on the neck, shoulder, and head by her ex-husband, Watson Musika (40), in a bush near Maldon Compound, Chikari, Chegutu.
The suspect allegedly consumed suspected cyanide and was found lifeless inside his residence.
In an unrelated incident, the ZRP is also investigating the circumstances surrounding the m_rder of a 16-year-old female juvenile whose remains were discovered in a bush near Gremlin Farm, Karoi on July 4, 2024.
The v!ctim had gone missing on March 18, 2024, while on her way to school.
The police are urging anyone with information or knowledge about the two cases to come forward and assist in the investigations.
As the investigation continues, more details will be shared as they become available and the ZRP is committed to ensuring that those responsible for these m_rders are held accountable.
