Nigerian man Lekan Akinyemi (45) arrested for allegedly digging up and cutting off a c0rpse head for r!tual purposes in the Car Wash area of the state.
According to source the man was nabbed on 24 June.
The matter was reported to command’s spokesperson in a statement said that one Nojeem Balogun reported the case on June 23, one of his siblings alerted him about unusual activities at their late father’s grav3site at Isale Itoko, Abeokuta.
He disclosed that upon inspection of his father’s grav3, he discovered that the head of his father’s c0rpse had been chopped off. The PPRO said that further inquiries led to the identification of the suspect, who was discovered to have been the one who dug the grav3 and severed the head of the buri3d c0rpse.
“Lekan Akinyemi was caught in the act and the case will be handed over to the Anti-Robbery unit for investigation before transferring it to the State CID,” she said.
