The Premier League Champions, Manchester City have competed all the requirements needed for them to announce and confirm a new deal for club head coach and manager, Pep Guardiola.
The Spaniard’s current deal with Manchester City was due to expire at the end of the season and there were rumours he would leave Etihad after this campaign. But the 53-year-old has agreed to a one-year extension, with an option of an additional 12 months.
Fabrizio Romano confirmed on his X that Man City will soon announce and confirm new deal for Pep Guardiola.
“All documents are ready for Man City to announce and confirm new deal for Pep Guardiola. It will be valid until June 2026 with an option to extend until June 2027, as planned.
Pep and his backroom staff already approved all the documents and clauses,” he posted
The 53-year-old Spaniard joined Manchester City in 2016 and has won 18 trophies with the club so far, including six Premier League titles.
During his time in Manchester, Guardiola has helped Manchester City to become just the second English men’s team to win the Treble – the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League in the same season.
