A 35-year-old man from Lusaka, Lendson Lungu, died on Sunday after being severely be@ten over a betting dispute.
According to reports, the incident occurred on Friday at City Market, where Lungu won K210 playing pool. A group of individuals demanded he hand over his winnings, and when he refused, they brutally ass@ulted him.
Lungu was initially treated at a local hospital for severe !njuries, including internal trauma, but was later referred to the University Teaching Hospital.
Despite medical attention, his condition worsened, and he passed away at his brother’s home.
The police were notified on Monday and have launched an investigation into the suspected m_rder.
A postmortem examination is pending to determine the exact cause of de@th. The police are urging anyone with information to come forward and assist in the investigation.
