Police in Zhombe have apprehended five men in connection with a brutal m_rder that transpired on September 10, 2024, in Makwezi Village, Malisa.
The suspects, identified as Silvester Jinja (38), Takunda Mbano (37), Christopher Sithole (53), Mlamuli Ndebele (33), and Isaac Maphosa (47), allegedly launched a savage att_ck on the v!ctim, Jabulani Gwada (41), using a range of weapons including machetes, sjamboks, sticks, axes, and their fists.
This vi0lent incident was reportedly fueled by accusations of cattle theft directed at Gwada, specifically that he had stolen livestock belonging to Jinja.
Witnesses described the harrowing scene, where the suspects took turns assaulting the victim mercilessly, demonstrating a premeditated and coordinated att_ck.
Tragically, Gwada succumbed to his inj_ries shortly after being admitted to a local hospital.
The police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding this horrific crime.
