The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has officially announced the arrest of 24-year-old Tobias Nyathi, who is implicated in a murd3r case that took place at Masendu Business Centre in Madlambuzi on September 24, 2024.
The tragic incident resulted in the de_th of 28-year-old Mbongeni Moyo, who succumbed to his injuri3s shortly after being admitted to Plumtree District Hospital.
According to authorities, the confrontation between Nyathi and Moyo stemmed from a misunderstanding concerning a stolen cellphone.
In a moment of heated conflict, Nyathi allegedly stabbed Moyo once in the stomach and once in the left shoulder with a knife, inflicting life-threatening !njuries.
Despite efforts to save him, Moyo’s condition deteriorated rapidly, leading to his untimely death.
Police have reiterated the importance of conflict resolution and the need to seek non-violent means to address disputes.
As investigations continue, the ZRP is urging anyone with additional information regarding the incident to come forward to assist in clarifying the circumstances surrounding this tragic event.
