Reports from the Barcelona-based outlet Sport reveal that Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola and his wife, Cristina Serra, decided to end their marriage in December.
The couple has reportedly been living apart for the past five years, with Guardiola based in Manchester and Serra in Barcelona, where she runs a fashion company.
Guardiola and Serra are thought to have first met when he was just 18 years old, although they only tied the knot in 2014.
Together, they share three children: two daughters, aged 24 and 17, and a 22-year-old son.

Despite their separation, sources indicate that their relationship remains “cordial, stable, and friendly.” In January of the previous year, Guardiola spoke highly of Serra, noting her influence on his fashion choices for match days.
“My wife is the best in the world at many things, but especially in fashion,” he mentioned on the Men in Blazers podcast.
He added, “She normally tells me what to wear, and I follow her advice. I’m smart enough to know when to take advice from those who are much better than me.”
As one of the most successful managers in modern football, Guardiola has been at the helm of Manchester City since 2016, leading the team to six Premier League titles and a Champions League victory, among other accolades.
However, this season has seen a decline in the club’s performance, making another league title unlikely as they approach May.
Before his tenure at City, Guardiola also enjoyed successful stints at Bayern Munich and Barcelona, where he made his mark as a legendary player.
