Former FC Barcelona young star, Marc Guiu has shined with his standout performer in Chelsea’s 5-1 victory over Shamrock Rovers on Thursday night, scoring a first-half hat-trick to help Enzo Maresca’s team top the Conference league phase and maintain their flawless record in the competition.
The 18-year-old striker opened the scoring in the 22nd minutes following Darragh Burns’ loose header before Rovers stunned Stamford Bridge when Markus Poom fired home at a corner to equalise Guiu’s first goal.
The visitors undid themselves again when Guiu intercepted Daniel Cleary’s back pass and slotted home with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall quickly adding a third with a cool finish from inside the box.
Guiu, though, made sure he was the star of an entertaining first period, rising to glance home Noni Madueke’s right-wing cross for his hat-trick. Marc’s yesterday hat-trick add his goals to tally at 6 goal this season in all competition
