A 33-year-old man from Plumtree is currently facing serious legal troubles after allegedly thre@tening his girlfriend for refusing to te_rminate her unplanned pregnancy.
This troubling incident came to light during a recent session at the Plumtree Magistrates Court.
On Friday, Magistrate Joshua Nembaware issued an arr3st warrant for Bhekimpilo Moyo, who did not appear for his scheduled court hearing.
This absence prompted authorities to take action against him. The proceedings led by Magistrate Nembaware detailed the disturbing events that led to the charges against Moyo.
According to reports, the situation escalated on August 26, when Moyo visited his girlfriend’s home.
After discovering she was pregnant, he pressured her to have an ab0rti_on. However, she stood her ground and declined his demands. This refusal reportedly ignited a violent reaction from Moyo.

During a heated confrontation, Moyo is said to have brandished a knife and threatened to k!ll his girlfriend. In fear for her life, she managed to escape to a neighbor’s house, seeking shelter from the vi0lence. Her quick thinking was crucial in avoiding phys!cal !njury during this tr@umatic experience.
The following day, Moyo allegedly returned to her home and intensified his aggressive behavior.
He reportedly threw dirt into her room, forced his way inside, and took her mobile phone without her consent. These actions have led to further charges being added to the case.
The prosecution, represented by Selestine Madziwa, emphasized the seriousness of Moyo’s thr2ats and actions.
The court will evaluate the evidence presented in order to hold Moyo accountable for his behavior and the distress it has caused his girlfriend.
As of now, Moyo remains at large, leaving the victim in a state of fear for her safety.
