French football team captain and Real Madrid key player, Kylian Mbappe suffered a broken n0se !njury which forced him off the field in France’s Euro 2024 opening game against Austria.
The 25-year old star player sustained the !njury in a collision with Austria’s Kevin Danso during the Monday night 1-0 win over Austria.
Mbappe was thereafter taken to Dusseldorf hospital where the !njury was confirmed.
The decision on whether he will appear in the Group D’s big game against Netherlands on Friday is yet to be revealed.
The French Football Federation however said a protective mask will be made for their captain to continue playing in the tournament, avoiding the need for surgery.
The injury has raised concerns about a possible France’s performance in the tournament without their star player.
