Bulawayo, Zimbabwe – Meet Dr Iris Zemza Nozizwe Mhlanga a community hero,a diplomat, Philantropist and pharmacologist from Bulawayo. Iris founded Nozizwe Mother of Nations Trust in 2018 inspired by an encounter with a disabled homeless man and a prophetic message she received in church.
Ambassador Dr Mhlanga’s trust focuses on lifting life’s of vulnerable people with disabilities, widows, orphans and the homeless by providing important necessities like food,healthcare, education and psychosocial support.
Through her leadership the organization has positively impacted over 5 000 lives through regular everyday meals, medical aid, educational opportunities and emotional counselling.
Looking Ahead to 2025, Ambassador Dr. Mhlanga aims to broaden the Trust’s outreach to further empower and transform marginalized communities in Zimbabwe and beyond. Earlier this week, Ambassador Dr. Iris Zemza Nozizwe Mhlanga, has been nominated for the prestigious 2025 Women Changing the World Awards.
The awards ceremony will take place later this year, where winners will be announced and celebrated for their outstanding achievements.
