Mr. Mike Chimombe and Mr. Mpofu’s legal representatives, Antonio & Dzvetero Legal Practitioners, have notified the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission that their clients are currently not in the country.
They have further stated that their clients “will not be attending any interviews as they are unavailable at the moment.
In the letter, they indicated that their clients are willing to fully cooperate with the investigations and are available to attend any requested interviews upon their return.
According to a previous statement, ZACC had invited Chimombe, Mpofu, and Wicknell Chivayo for interviews as part of an investigation into alleged money laundering and abuse of office involving a contractual dispute between the three over the supply of election materials to the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC).
