The Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services, Hon. Dr J Muswere has appointment four additional board members for the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation
(ZBC).
President Mnangagwa gave Minister Muswere the greenlight to appoint the four member with effect 12 July 2024 and they will serve for 4 years.
In a press statement seen by newsreportzim.com, on 24 July 2024, the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation announced the appointment of new board members.
The press statement reads the following:
“ZIMBABWE BROADCASTING CORPORATION ANNOUNCES NEW BOARD APPOINTMENTS
His Excellency, President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, has authorized the Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Hon Dr. J Muswere to appoint the following Board Members with effect from 12 July 2024 for 4 years.
* Mr. Amon Craig Matambo with expertise in IT/Engineering
* Ms Queen Mpofu with expertise in Finance
* Ms Ruvheneko Elsie Parirenyatwa with expertise in Media
* Mr Thandolenkosi Nkomo with expertise in Media
Their appointment complements the existing seven ZBC Board Members, reconstituted in January 2024 under the Chairmanship of Ms. Helliate Rushwaya.
The ZBC is confident that the expanded Board will provide strategic direction and ensure the corporation upholds it’s role as a key national institution that serves the interests of all Zimbabweans,” the press reads.
