President Mnangagwa has departed the country today to participate in the Korea-Africa Summit in South Korea. Additionally, he will also attend the St Petersburg International Economic Forum in Russia.
These platforms will host discussions among global leaders and business community members regarding key economic issues, trade, and investment cooperation.
The Permanent Secretary for Information Publicity and Broadcasting Services, Nick Mangwana, has confirmed that the Acting President during President Mnangagwa’s absence will be the First Vice President, Dr. Chiwenga, until June 5.
“Hon Vice President, Dr CGDN Chiwenga will be Acting President from today until the 5th of June 2024, then Hon Vice President Col (Rtd) KCD Mohadi will take over as Acting President until His Excellency, President Mnangagwa’s return,” Nick Mangwana said.
