According to the story published by The Standard, the Zimbabwean government has repossessed extensive land holdings belonging to former first lady Grace Mugabe, her daughter Bona, and other relatives.
The move is seen as a targeted assault by President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s government to undermine the Mugabe family’s influence.
The seized farms include Grace Mugabe’s Mazowe citrus farm and Bona’s farm in Mashonaland Central.
Other relatives, including Robert Zhuwao and Florence Zinyemba, have also lost their farms.
The government’s actions are seen as a continuation of the hostilities that began with the 2017 coup that ousted Mugabe from power.
