The Ministry of Health and Child Care(MoHCC) has urged Zimbabweans to have routine bl00d pressure checks after research showed most people unknowingly have it.
In a statement the MoHCC highlighted that high bl00d pressure is triggered by high consumption of levels of sodium and low potassium.
The statement read, “Risk factors include poor-quality diet high in sodium and low in potassium, overweight and obesity”.
MoHCC also added high consumption of alc0hol, use of tobacco and lack of physical activity as elements which elevate HBP.
