In a recent development, a video revealing the interior of Yevgeny Prigozhin’s private jet, the leader of the Wagner group, has surfaced online.
This video has added to the speculation surrounding the potential cause of his death.
Prigozhin, known as a Russian mercenary and the head of the Wagner forces, was listed as a passenger on a private jet that tragically crashed north of Moscow, resulting in the loss of all 10 passengers’ lives.
Confirmation is still pending about whether Prigozhin had indeed boarded the ill-fated flight. Russia’s federal air transport agency, Rosaviatsia, released a list of seven passengers, including Prigozhin and Wagner group commander Dmitry Utkin, along with three crew members, who were reported to have perished in the crash that occurred on a Wednesday.
The crash took place exactly two months after Prigozhin led a brief armed uprising against Russia’s military leadership on June 23. This event was viewed as one of the most significant challenges to President Vladimir Putin’s two-decade rule. At the time, Putin labelled the rebellion as an act of “treason.”
Speculation has been circulating regarding possible repercussions against Prigozhin following the uprising. A video exhibiting the interior of his private jet has amplified these speculations.
Video Showing Inside Prigozhin’s Private Jet Draws Tantalizing Connection to a Hollywood Plot
Fresh information suggests that Prigozhin’s Embraer jet was put up for sale at a price of 5 million euros. On the day of the crash, potential buyers came to inspect the aircraft. The identities of these buyers, who were representatives from Rusjet Airlines, Alexandra Yulina (chairman of the board of directors) and Sergei Klokotov (technical director), were published by the Telegram channel VChK-OGPU. To gain access to the secured area and the aircraft itself, these buyers were declared as passengers on the flight.
After thoroughly examining both the exterior and interior of the private jet, they departed quietly.
In the comments section, some users drew parallels with a scene from the movie “Red 2,” in which Bruce Willis posed as a buyer and planted a bomb on the antagonist’s plane. Here are a few comments:

@DonInBrookfield:
Ironically, that’s sorta how Bruce Willis planted a bomb on Anthony Hopkin’s plane in Red 2.
@SLKath:
I’m going to go ahead and guess that one of the people “touring” the plane planted a bomb. Just a wild guess, based on nothing but a hunch.
@Mastiff48:
Leaving on board a transmitting device which later on guided the missile to a sure hit.

Unravelling the Enigma: Investigating the Crash and its Potential Causes
Authorities are investigating what could have caused the crash, with theories ranging from technical problems to explosions onboard the jet.
In the more than 20 years that the jet model has been in service, the news outlet Reuters said that only one previous crash has been recorded, attributed to mistakes by crew members.
Daniel Hawkins, a journalist based in Moscow, informed Al Jazeera that unconfirmed reports in Russian media are suggesting that the aircraft might have been targeted by air defence systems.
