The Zimbabwe Republic Police has confirmed the arrest of three individuals and is seeking information on a fourth suspect in connection with separate murder cases.
In Rusape, Netsai Matsikira, 38, was arrested on April 18, 2025, for allegedly murdering her husband, Charles Chikukwa, 42. The alleged motive behind the murder was a heated argument over infidelity allegations, which escalated into a violent confrontation. Matsikira reportedly used a pole to strike Chikukwa several times, resulting in his death.
On the same day, Takudzwa Chirunga, 24, was arrested in Chombira for allegedly murdering his uncle, Mailosi Chirunga, 54. The body was discovered in Makwachimba River, Chiweshe, with the victim seated against a tree and a red cloth covering his nose and mouth, tied to the tree. The circumstances surrounding the murder are still under investigation.
The police are seeking information on Revai Guri, 38, who is wanted for allegedly murdering his coworker, Jao Antonio Pangurai, 23, with an axe. The alleged motive behind the murder was a dispute over a cigarette lighter. The incident occurred on April 17, 2025, at a farm in Nyapundo Village, Nyanga.
The Zimbabwe Republic Police are appealing to anyone with information on Revai Guri’s whereabouts to come forward and assist with the investigation. Authorities urge the public to provide any relevant information that may lead to Guri’s arrest.
