Siphethebuhle Nkomo, a 20-year-old resident of Zimdabule Village 4 in Deli, Nyamandlovu, Zimbabwe, was arrested by the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) on August 14, 2024, after confessing to the heinous crime.
On that fateful day, Siphethebuhle’s baby boy began wailing uncontrollably, leaving the young mother baffled and desperate to soothe him.
As the baby’s cries intensified, Siphethebuhle’s patience wore thin, and she succumbed to a fit of rage. In a moment of unspeakable horror, she grasped her baby’s fragile neck and choked the life out of him, silencing his cries forever.

“On 14 August 2024, police in Nyamandlovu, Lupane arrested Siphethebuhle Nkomo, 20, in connection with a case of m_rder in which she strangled to de@th her son (18 months) after failing to silence him while crying on 14 August 2024 at Zimdabule Village 4, Deli, Nyamandlovu,” police said.
