The Mutoko community has refuted claims suggesting that Muslims are slaughtering cows and taking the bl00d, leaving the community to handle the meat on their own.
In an interview with Sly Media, Mr. Nyakudanga, a member of the Methodist Church, dismissed these allegations.
He clarified that the Muslims engage in an annual feast, which they consider a s@crifice.
According to Mr. Nyakudanga, Muslim members themselves slaughter the cows but leave the whole process and the meat for villagers to consume.
He emphasised that there is no truth to the rumors circulating about them taking the bl00d and abandoning the meat.

Mr. Nyakudanga pointed out that last year, the sacrificial event took place on his plot of land.
This year, they slaughtered 250 cows on the plot and additional cows at the Mutoko center as part of their religious practice, which they view as a benevolent act.
