Zambian musician Super Kena, born Kenan Kaunda, has unveiled his heart-wrenching life story through his debut album “Man of the Match.”
The 14-year-old singer’s journey began with abandonment and hardship. Super Kena’s mother dumped him and his twin brother as babies, leaving his father to care for them.
She cruelly labeled them “akambuma” (midgets) due to his brother’s Hydrocephalus. After his brother’s passing, his father remarried, but Super Kena faced ab_se from his stepmother.
Forced into scrap metal dealings for survival, Super Kena found solace in music. His talent caught Y Celeb’s attention, who became his mentor.
However, his stepmother disapproved, accusing Y Celeb of being a sat@nist. Y Celeb intervened, providing Super Kena safety and support. His album “Man of the Match” shares his true story, including the emotional song “True Story.”
“My stepmother was abu_ive, she often could whip me even when I had done nothing wrong. My father was never around to intervene.”
