Exiled former Minister of Tourism and Foreign Affairs, Dr. Walter Mzembi, has expressed his heartfelt condolences following the passing of Malawi’s Vice President Chilima in a plane crash.
In a public statement on X, Dr. Mzembi wrote the following:
“Life is the epitome of vanity of vanities ..one moment a life is with us full of promise, the next moment its gone like a fleeting shadow.”
“Tragic robbery of a future in Malawi and a painful date with destiny . Vice President Chilima @SKChilima & team gone just like that….”
“May their dear souls rest in peace & condolences to President @LAZARUSCHAKWERA, Government of Malawi @MalawiGovt & bereaved families.”
The late Vice President Chilima d!ed with other nine government officials including the former Malawi’s First Lady in a plane crash on June 10 2024.
The de@th of Vice President Chilima was cornfirmed by Malawian President His Excellency Lazarus Chakwera after the rescure team discovered the wreckage on Tuesday morning
